MBG Gains Global Attention: Prabowo Reports Six Million Beneficiaries

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, proudly announced the international recognition of the government’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. During the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Congress in Solo, Central Java, Prabowo highlighted the program’s success in providing nutritious meals to schoolchildren, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, attracting interest from other countries.

Since its launch, the MBG program has benefitted over six million individuals, primarily children and pregnant women. Prabowo expressed optimism that the number of beneficiaries will continue to rise rapidly, with a target of reaching 20 million beneficiaries by August 2025, potentially even exceeding that number.

The MBG program is a vital component of the government’s efforts to combat malnutrition and promote a healthy future generation. It also provides economic support to local food producers and vendors while championing social equality and early human development, essential for the nation’s long-term growth and prosperity.
