President Joko Widodo recently received heartfelt letters from junior and senior high school students at Sekolah Rakyat in Cibinong, West Java. The President personally took the time to read the letters in his office, as shared through the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat. The post included photos of President Joko Widodo engrossed in reading the letters and a handwritten note from one of the students.
One of the students, Erni Andayani, expressed her deep gratitude to the President for establishing Sekolah Rakyat, which has provided her and other students with access to quality education and the opportunity to pursue their dreams. The school was officially launched for the 2025-2026 academic year and is managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs, catering specifically to children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Sekolah Rakyat currently operates in 63 locations across Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The school has opened doors for underprivileged children, giving them hope for a brighter future and the chance to become the Golden Generation of the nation.
