The Free Health Check in Schools (CKG) program in Indonesia aims to provide free health checks to 53 million students nationwide. This initiative, supervised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, will include public, private, and religious schools, benefiting all students in the country. Senior Expert Staff at the Presidential Communication Office, Hariqo Wibawa Satria, highlighted the importance of this program in President Prabowo’s vision of creating a Golden Generation by 2045.
President Prabowo views every Indonesian child as a valuable national asset and has implemented various strategic policies to support their well-being. These include Free Nutritious Meals, Capacity Expansion of Public Hospitals, the People’s School, Garuda Schools, School Revitalization, and Digital Learning Initiatives. The President has also signed regulations to support child protection and provide allowances for medical specialists working in remote areas.
The CKG program will encompass religious-based educational units, such as Islamic schools, Christian and Catholic schools, Hindu Widyalayas, and Buddhist Dhammasekhas. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar emphasized the importance of this program in fostering a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation. He called on religious schools to fully support the initiative by providing necessary equipment and involving teachers in the implementation process.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has instructed regional and district heads to closely monitor the program’s implementation and warned schools that do not take it seriously will receive special attention. This initiative plays a vital role in achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision and is crucial for the development of the country’s youth.
