Prabowo Welcomed with Smiles and Cheers in Batujajar: A Heartwarming Scene

The morning atmosphere at Suparlan Airfield, Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, on Sunday (10/8) was filled with warmth and enthusiasm as President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived to attend the Operational and Military Honors Parade. Greeted by the wide smiles and eager waves of elementary school children, the students called out his name with excitement while waving small red-and-white flags. Not to be outdone, residents lined up along the edge of the field also cheered for him with beaming smiles.

Prabowo’s agenda for the day included conferring the honorary rank of four-star general, installing the Deputy Commander of the TNI, presenting the Bintang Sakti Medal of Honor to soldiers with outstanding integrity, and delivering directives to unit commanders from battalion level and above across all branches of the armed forces. Various new military units were to be inaugurated and formalized, including the promotion of the Kopassus Commander to Pangkopassus and the establishment of new Regional Military Commands (Kodam), Territorial Infantry Brigades, and Territorial Infantry Battalions within the Army.

For the Navy and Air Force, promotions and new formations were also on the agenda to strengthen the defense posture of the nation. The event was set to showcase thrilling military displays, including paratrike and paramotor performances, fighter jet flypasses, tactical martial arts demonstrations, urban assault operations, and airborne operations, reflecting the President’s vision to build a self-reliant and technologically advanced defense force.

The parade was a symbol of the President’s commitment to national defense and security.
