President Prabowo’s Heartfelt Connection with PCO Farmers

President Prabowo Subianto has shown a strong commitment to supporting farmers, with a personal connection dating back to his military days and leadership in the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI). This sentiment was highlighted by Dedek Prayudi, a Senior Expert at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), during the grand corn harvest event in Jenggalu Village, Bengkulu Province. He emphasized the importance of the food security program, especially in the face of global uncertainties that could impact Indonesia’s food supply. With government support in the form of subsidized fertilizers, pesticides, and agricultural machinery, farmers are motivated to increase their production capacity. Kelik Budianan, Head of the Food Data and Information Center at the National Food Agency, expressed support for President Prabowo’s initiative and highlighted the coordination with the State Logistics Agency to absorb farmers’ corn harvests. The integration of supply chains between farmers and livestock breeders was also discussed to ensure favorable prices for both crops and livestock. This collaborative effort was witnessed by local officials and representatives, aiming to enhance food security and prosperity for farmers in the region.
