The Garuda Merah Putih-II Task Force successfully conducted a humanitarian mission to Gaza Strip, Palestine, marking Indonesia’s 80th independence anniversary. The mission, a collaborative effort of the Ministry of Defense, Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and National Alms Agency (Baznas), involved two Indonesian Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft departing from King Abdullah II Air Base in Amman, Jordan. They airdropped essential aid supplies over Gaza before returning safely to the forward operating base. Colonel Pilot Puguh Yulianto, Commander of the Task Force, reported that the mission proceeded smoothly without major obstacles.
The aid packages consisted of staple foods, ready-to-eat meals, medical equipment, blankets, and items for children, reflecting Indonesia’s commitment to international humanitarian solidarity. President Prabowo Subianto personally ordered the mission, emphasizing Indonesia’s active role in promoting global peace and solidarity. The successful mission on Indonesia’s independence anniversary was celebrated as a moment of national pride and a testament to the country’s contributions on the world stage. Colonel Yulianto described the mission’s achievement as a historic milestone and a special gift for Indonesia’s Independence Day.
