Wuling Darion, MPV New Generation with Electric and Plug-in Hybrid Option
Wuling Darion, the first Wuling production in Indonesia to utilize the latest global platform Wonder Flexible Modular System (WFMS), is an electrified (EV and PHEV) 7-seater MPV with sliding doors that offers practicality as well as comfort and efficiency supported by various high-tech driving features.
Introduced to the public at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition, Wuling Darion was officially launched at The Premiere Launch of Wuling Darion event at Spike Air Dome, PIK 2 on Wednesday (05/11/2025). The presence of Wuling Darion marks an important step for Wuling Motor in expanding the innovation of electrified vehicles in the family car segment. Designed and produced in Indonesia, Wuling Darion offers a combination of classy design, comfort, technology, and efficiency relevant to the needs of modern family mobility.
Named ‘Darion,’ a combination of the phrase ‘From Indonesia’ carrying the spirit of Evolving Family Moments. It is the first MPV in Indonesia available in EV and PHEV variants, bringing a new story for families. Wuling Darion combines design, comfort, technology, and efficiency to create memorable moments in family journeys. The MPV is not only produced in Indonesia but also reflects the values and needs of Indonesian families.
To meet the diverse preferences of family consumers, Darion comes in two variants, EV (Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), and four trim options consisting of EV CE, EV EX, PHEV CE, and PHEV EX. Both the CE and EX trims feature similar exterior, interior design concepts, and dimensions. These trims are provided to offer flexibility to family consumers for their mobility needs.

As for the powertrain, Darion EV is equipped with the latest electrification technology. With an electric motor producing 150 kW or equivalent to 201 HP and peak torque of 310 Nm, the Darion EV can travel up to 540 km (CLTC) with a 69.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery and DC Fast charging support. The Front Wheel Drive system channels all electric power to the wheels.
On the other hand, Darion PHEV combines a 1,490cc Naturally Aspirated (non-turbocharged) Atkinson Cycle gasoline engine with a Ling Power electric motor generating 145 kW (195 HP) and 230 Nm of torque. The conventional engine delivers 105 HP at 5,800 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,600–5,000 rpm, transmitted to the Front Wheel Drive via a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for smooth and efficient power transfer.
Powered by a 20.5 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, Darion PHEV can travel up to 125 km in pure electric mode (CLTC) and reach a total of 1,000 kilometers thanks to a 52-liter fuel tank, providing high flexibility for various travel needs.
In terms of exterior design, Wuling Darion features dimensions of 4,910mm x 1,870mm x 1,770mm with a wheelbase of 2,910mm, accommodating a spacious and ergonomic 7-passenger cabin layout. The exterior design provides a blend of elegance and streamlines characteristic of modern family vehicles.
The modern exterior appearance is aided by the use of 17-inch Machined Alloy wheels with modern center cap paired with 215/55 R17 tires. The Electric Power Steering system delivers a light and precise driving sensation, while the disc brake system at the front and back ensures optimal braking, and the McPherson front and Multi-link Independent rear suspensions offer maximum comfort in various road conditions.
