Grand General TNI (Ret.) Abdul Haris Nasution was a key figure in the struggle for Indonesian independence. I had the privilege of engaging in conversations with him, learning from his experiences, opinions, and strategies in guerrilla warfare. He was a historical actor and a wealth of knowledge, well-versed in history and various languages.
Talking with Pak Nas was a unique opportunity that allowed me to learn from a figure of the ’45 generation.
