Mantan Pimcab Bank Plat Merah Tenggarong: Kasus Kasasi

Andriyani, Suparlan, and Bambang Purnama faced the consequences in the recent sentencing session at the Corruption Court of the Samarinda District Court. Despite hoping for a reduced sentence through an appeal, the three defendants in the Corruption Criminal Act case involving the Livestock Partnership Program of 2021/2022 between BRI Bank Branch Tenggarong and PT Berkah Salama Jaya (BSJ) experienced a setback as the verdict did not meet their expectations.

Instead of receiving a reduced sentence or having the judges’ decision overturned, the punishments for the three defendants actually increased. The High Court in East Kalimantan added Andriyani’s sentence, the former Branch Manager of BRI Bank Tenggarong, from 9 years to 10 years in case number 10/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN Smr. Similarly, Suparlan’s punishment was extended from 10 years to 12 years in case number 11/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN Smr. Bambang Purnama also faced an increase in his prison term from 10 to 12 years in case number 12/Pid.Sus-TPK/2025/PN Smr.

Additionally, the defendants were required to pay a sum of Rp16,472,031,000.00 (Rp16 billion) as restitution, with an added 2-year sentence if the payment was not made. Bambang Purnama also saw his restitution amount increase from Rp20,762,969,000.00 (Rp20 billion), with a corresponding increase in the additional prison term if the restitution was not paid.

Upon receiving the verdict, the defendants’ legal advisors expressed their intention to file a further appeal known as Cassation. The legal advisors emphasized the focus on legal errors made by the Court of Appeal in their decision-making process.

While all three defendants expressed their intent to file a Cassation, formal application documents were yet to be submitted as of the latest update. The Public Prosecutor stated that they had not received the Cassation memorandums yet. The defendants were implicated in misappropriating funds amounting to Rp37,235,000,000.00 (Rp37 billion), as per an audit report from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency of East Kalimantan.

The case involved discrepancies in the provision of livestock for the cattle farming partnership program, with the defendants allegedly falsifying purchase receipts and falling short of the agreed livestock count. Notably, Andriyani was not charged with restitution based on the court’s findings that she did not benefit from the credit distribution scheme.
